Afreximbank President Inspects Final Preparations for IATF 2025 in Algiers

The President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah, has visited the Algiers Exhibition Centre to review the final preparations for the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), which takes place from September 4 to 10, 2025. The visit highlights the event’s strategic importance in advancing Africa’s trade and investment landscape.

Prof. Oramah’s inspection underlines Afreximbank’s commitment to ensuring a seamless experience for the thousands of exhibitors, delegates, and investors set to attend this landmark event.

The fair, organized by Afreximbank in partnership with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, is expected to be the most ambitious edition to date, featuring:

  • Over 2,000 exhibitors

  • Delegations from 140 countries

  • More than 35,000 professional visitors

  • Trade and investment deals projected to exceed US$44 billion

During his visit, Prof. Oramah praised Algeria’s extensive mobilization and logistical efforts, emphasizing the fair’s role in boosting intra-African trade and promoting economic integration under the AfCFTA framework.
